ABOUT MARK BLOCK

Block's senior leadership roles within the U S. Senate and in the corporate sector prepared him for producing large-scale events in the media sector. Block began his career in the Senate in 1990 working in every major position in the Senator's Capitol Hill Office, culminating in his role as Deputy Chief of Staff for four years. Block joined Newsweek as Director of External Relations in 2003 after completing his MBA Degree at The Johns Hopkins University. Upon Block's arrival at Newsweek, he created the Newsweek Executive Forum concept, which became a standard Q & A event series at the magazine for his entire eight year tenure. Block's personal experiences and insights from managing events and distinguished talent throughout his 25 year career have provided him with the ability to bring an unparalleled attention to detail and unique diplomatic management style to every initiative.
